Carota joins hands with China Automotive Research Institute to safeguard intelligent mobility

With the increasing application of OTA technology in vehicles, the number of ECUs (Electronic Control Units) that can be upgraded within a vehicle is also increasing significantly. This includes IVI, T-BOX, ADAS, and especially in the case of new energy vehicles, the number of ECUs can reach hundreds. As the number of these ECUs increases, the demand for OTA upgrades also grows, leading to a significant increase in testing costs and difficulty.
Furthermore, while OTA addresses various issues, the stability, security, and reliability of the OTA itself have become increasingly critical. To address these challenges, relevant regulations and industry standards have emerged in the market, such as the "Technical Requirements for General Software Upgrade of Motor Vehicles" currently being implemented in China and the international WP29 R156 standard. This has prompted more and more vehicle manufacturers and regulatory agencies to refer to and implement these standards.
To address these challenges, Carota has independently developed an "OTA Automated Simulation Test Platform" to tackle the challenges of testing OTA functions under these standardized scenarios.

China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. is a leading research institution that focuses on standards, technology, information, and equipment. Carota collaborates with China Automotive Engineering Research Institute to conduct research on vehicle recall implementation procedures and standards, and to develop simulation platforms and testing software.
Carota's OTA Automated Simulation Test System hardware mainly includes test cabinets, test benches, and related supporting hardware components. The solution adopts SOA architecture and platform-based design concepts, making each function independent and modularized. This allows for the development of reliable and scalable vehicle OTA upgrade test solutions for the automotive industry.
